i just got a 98 avenger sport and im going to put the new 5.7 hemi or if i can get my hands on 6.1 liter.
has anyone seen a avenger with a hemi in it?

 

There has been V8(s) put into the Avenger, yes. I do believe they were for drag racing though, also the suspension was changed out in favor of a Mustang 2 (not sure anymore on that one) to accomadate for the v8. There were a lot of things gutted and replaced. [sm=signs003.gif] with that project though and post pics of progress (it's only worth believing if someone else can confirm and not just your neighbor either ). BTW, I didn't funny car, I meant stock bodied Avengers with v8s.
