Here's something I just remembered...if you just plug in the aftermarket wire harness (metra or whatever), you utilize the stock amp...thus utilizing the stock filters from the amp....problem with that is, your front door spkrs will sound muffled.
So how do I get around this? What do I need to do to make sure the new radio is set-up correctly?
Try it first though, it's been so long since I've done this that even what I remember can be distorted
If it is muffled, then run seperate speaker wires to the front doors.
I'm pretty sure it does get muffled, but try it anyway and post back.[sm=smiley20.gif]

thats a good point 95_avenger but building a protective cup to go around the speaker or the use of dynomat will greatly decrease the distortion of the 6x9s... anything to keep the massive air flow from getting directly to the cones of the 6x9s will work
