Default RE: transmission help

A fluid change is very inexpensive compared to a torque converter or even a rebuilt tranny. IMO, flush the fluid out at the dealership and go from there. Don't tell them what is going on with your car or they might insist on doing tranny work. It's most likely more serious now that you've driven 1500 miles on that fluid, but change it out anyway and go from there. Limp mode indicates tranny troubles but I don't think it can be pin pointed without hooking it up to a computer or doing tranny work.

Check your tranny dipstick for any flakes. IMO, it's just the fluid. It's the same as a Honda tranny requiring Honda specific tranny fluid. The MOPAR ATF+3 is for the A604 is the same thing. People will tell you that they are all the same and I believed them once. That's why I harp on MOPAR ATF+3.

sounds like the torque converter is shot
my best suggestion is have it checked ot you might be replaxcing or rebuilding a transmission in ~500 miles
