The one you posted is a male connector jakbob.

This one here is a female connector. Aftermarket speaker terminals are male, so don't get the one like in the link above.

Notice how the female spade has a loop on either side...the male spade goes INTO the female spade.

Pics are linked...

if you wanted to do that you would need (for each speaker) 2 female and 2 male and speaker wire

you would make the connectors like so...

take a male connector, crimp it to speaker wire (or solder) then take a female end and crimp (or solder) it to that wire...then do that 3 more times and you have enough, then hook em up... oh and silvercoupe...i linked the wrong pic...i was kinda tired and not paying attention...lol...

I figured it was a typo just by your description Jakbob, lol. I just didn't want someone else to get confused by the pic/link.

I too have need of some help regarding speakers, I have a 1998 Avenger ES. It has the infinity Six sound system. When I purchased the car (used), I noticed that the right side dash and right side door speakers were blown (ie: Deep bass has a paper buzzing in the wind sound). I purchased replacement Infinity Kappa speakers and know that all I have to do is plug in the new ones After removing the old one (of course). My question is..... How do I get to the dash speakers without dismantleing the entire dash? I've been told that the screen comes out of the dash but I need some sort of instructions on how to do that. Not even dodge acknowledges the existence of the dash speakers. At least the hayseed dealers we have around here. I think they're just trying to make me spend my money there. I would much prefer to "Do it myself", Can anyone help, PLEASE?

As far as I remember, all u need to do to remove the dosh speaker is to remove the cover, just take a screwdriver and carefully scoop it out! Speakers are tight fitted in there! But if you want to put new speaker in there, it can be a lil tricky! I had to remove the old speaker (cut out the speaker without damaging the cover), replace it with a new speaker and seal it in there! This way I kept the same cover that fits tight into the dashboard! If you want I can post pics of my new speakers!?
