Default check engine light

I have a 95 avenger 2.5 and the ABS and coolant light stays on and the check engine light comes on after driving 10 minutes or so. I have tried to pull codes with the ignition switch and an obd 1 reader and cant link in. The ignition switch test does not work. Any ideas. The car runs just fine.

thanks

Check your brakes...everything...pads, rotors, fluid.
...are you sure you have an ODBI and not the ODBII? Take it to Autozone and have them pull the code for you.

Auto zone and advanced auto could not link in, and I replaced the front brakes and the back look good.

I have the same problem with my '95 Avenger. The radiator runs low but the reservoir stays full. Also, even after a tuneup the check engine lights stay on. I just figure it to be a flaw in the chip; it doesn't seem to affect anything.

My 2000 turned out to be a 99 on obd II, maybe your production year was like 94 1/2 -95 1/2. Give it a shot try 94 or 96.

I would recommend a system flush, change your thermostat, and fill your coolant. Unless that is what done in the "tuneup". Need more info on this one. Such as...which light?...the CEL, battery, oil, ABS? Have you tried to pull the codes with the keydance (type that into the search tab) or even just gone to autzone and had them pull it up for you?

You may need to replace your coolant temp sensor, you may want to get a Haynes manual too, it'll help a bit in the future since these cars have anywhere from 6-11 years of wear and tear on them.
