I have the clintons. It was hard to find too, but its under "wheel speed sensor" in my brake section. It looks like its tucked in the steering knuckle next to the tone wheel. It shows it behind the up at the top near that rubber boot. I was just in there though. I think my book description sucks because I dont remember it being there.

If you need instructions on how to get it off just post and I'll condence what my book says or I can probably take a pic of the page and post it.

hahaha it just says "remove the front wheels speed sensor's reqiring removal". what a &*# book. But I asked and its on the drivers side.

i apologize I was looking in the wrong section, the cirris/breeze section has the pictures and all that. Our section is even smaller so I missed it. This is terrible!!

taking it off (the whole wonderfully explained 8 steps in the book)
1. do all normal stuff(batt/jack)
2. remove the inner fender splash shield
3. remove the clips securing the speed sensor lead
4. remove the retaining screw and remove the speed sensor
To install
5. attatch the wheel speed sensor with the retaining screw
6. secure the speed with the clips
7. install fender splash shield
8. connect normal stuff and make sure abs works.

I don't have any pics either.

Somebody else needs to post who's got experience with this one. I thought I could help with my book but it sucks.

You have it right Cass. It's one of those hard to spot, unless you know exactly what it is you're looking for parts. That wheel sensor is for the ABS though. If that's what you're looking for Morrisonsa, then both books are correct. You can also turn the steering wheel so that the tone wheel is a little more visible. If you can't find it, chances are, you don't have ABS. Besides the brake line, there should only be one more line going to the wheel hub...that's a good way to find the speed sensor.

Why, may I ask, are you looking for this part anyway?

BTW, it's the same with my 97 shop manual also. The pics are the same, so if both the manuals referrence the shop manual, they can't be that bad...right?
