fog lights + parking lights
so i was doing the fog lights on with parking lights thing .. i bought blade fuses, blade fuse taps, and a fuse holder. had no idea if i needed the taps i just bought them in case because they were only 1.50. so i do everything that it says to do in the How-to guide in the stickies. only problem is not my headlights come on with my parking lights not the foglights and now only one foglight turns on... i thought maybe i just had wires mixed up but i took everything out and put everything back the way it was but that one foglight still wont turn on. could i have possibly blown it out while trying to do this?? and why wont it work right ... goddamn i hate lighting
That one foglamp bulb may have been on borrowed time and that could be why it's not working. Make sure you followed the sticky down to the "T". This is how I did mine and it worked like a charm for the longest time until I had to remove my foglights because it sat too low for Hawaii standards.
Make sure you're only using the blade fuse taps or a blown fuse and not both. It sounds to me like you tapped into the wrong hole.

i dont have a blown fuse so i have to use the taps but since the tap didnt fit into the hole without force i didnt want to try it until i knew that i should use taht. id hate to break something and have all my lights crap out ... and also how do you connect the wire to the tap?? just electrical tape it onto the part taht sticks up?
Look at the how-to again and look at the pic and make sure the wires were connected as it is in the pic. Your headlights turning on instead of the foglights leads me to believe, no offense bro, that something wasn't connected properly.
To connect the wires onto the blade fuse adapter, you can either solder one end of the wires to the top part of the adapter or you can use a female blade connector.
*edit
I meant "spade" connector not "blade", sorry

i went back out and tried again and all my wires were connected at the same places taht the wires in the pictures were. now im starting to think that my cousin (who i bought the car from) may have played around with something and ended up mixing some wires up so im going to try and connect it to a few other fuses and try it taht way. theres no way taht i messed it up lik 920592 tiems ... if i get my camera working ill take a pic of what i did or even a vid to try and show every step i took and why it may not be working.
i ended up having to connect the l15A tail lamp fuse to the fog light fuse in the middle of the box... its backwards compared to the picture in which the 15a foglight fuse is connected not the 15a tail lamp fuse oh well now i have to figure out how to change the foglight taht blew out which is simple thanks for the help and aggravation silvercoupe!!

If you reach behind the foglight (with nothing removed) you will feel the cap that seals the housing. Twist the cap to open and remove like you do with the headlights. H3 I believe are the replacement bulbs. BTW, I recommend buy them as a set otherwise you will have one brighter buld.
Check the wiring bro, if it doesn't look mangled with the electrical tape and split loom is partially removed, then I would think that no one moved anything around and the wiring is good. Most of the wiring that is tampered with is usually done in the cabin...such as for alarms, neon, and such.

Oh, yeah, keep an eye on fuse box...I'm not too keen on the way you have it connected.
The way that's in the sticky has been tried and used for many years and I know that it hasn't started any electrical/engine fires, but your current configuration isn't something anyone has tested before.
