2.5L V6 to manual conversion
i wanna do this so bad...but i don't know what all it'll take to get it done. the only time i've seen a sport version converted to manual is silvercoupe's. cept he also changed the engine as well. are there any trans that will work with this current engine? maybe i'm on crack or something but i want a manual so badly.
if there is something i can do...how much would it cost and how much labor would it be? besides the basics, fabricating a clutch/getting through the firewall/getting new middle console thing/etc...

IMO, you're not on crack for wanting to drive a manual, lol. I learned to drive a manual and drove manual cars for roughly 7 years, the Avenger was my first automatic to call my own and after driving the auto Avenger for 8 years, I wanted to drive a manual again
...thus the swap.
Bad news for you though, the 2.5L needs to have the CPS relocated in order for a swap to a manual. Exile Racing has been working on that for the past several years with no such luck. I think they just about gave up on it. There are a couple of manual trannys that will fit, but the PCM still needs to know where the crankshaft is to keep the timing inline. That was a deciding factor in my swap, otherwise I would have just opted to swap to a manual tranny and boosted the 2.5L.

The internals are really the only downfall to the A604...well, 60% of it anyway.
If you had the tranny rebuilt with a shift kit, an LSD, high stall torque converter, and the revised clutchpack. You could put more of a pounding on the tranny.

C thats what I wanted to do but all exile had where automatic trannys for the 6cly. And don't really want to go around asking for what trans fit my 4 banga so I just gave up. Cuz I luv everything bout my car except for the engine all the featurs the color even the alloy rims where the things I was looking for. The positive side is I have alot of room to work with so i'll be alright. But if u do find a trans that fits the 6cly I want to be the first to know aight!
