I have a question peeps, would it be better to rebuild my engine or just purchase a new one? I have been lookin at exile racing a lot and idk which would be all around best.. Please help a fellow owner..

What are you goals with your car first.

 

Well as of right now i want as much power as i can get. Something monsterous. I work at a car dealership and theyve got this shelby cobra with 500 horses. my manager says i could never get my car to beat it in ANY field (power or speed basically) but i want to not only prove them wrong but also just have the speed demon avenger ive always dreamed of.

 

Unfortunately, your manager is probably right about the DD part. Being an auto, you'll have turbo lag and you will have a lot of traction issues with a high power 2wd car, front or rear. A light car can beat that Cobra btw, weight to power ratio comes to mind. A lighter car with 500hp will leave that heavy beast behind. There's a lot of high hp DSMs that can do it. If he says otherwise, he obviously doesn't know or understand weight to power ratio. Or he just wants to crush your dreams, lol.

 

well dang! i knew the ratio fact but would it be overall better to get it rebuilt by like exile racing or just get a new engine cause im still learnin bout my car and im no where near done with want i want to do wth it
