How hard will it be to find used 16" rims for my Avenger...cheap?
I have a 97 Avenger, that I just recently purchased, but I want factory rims. I have seen some 5-Star type rims that I really like, but not really sure which model they came on, to know what to ask for. I have Eagle rims on my car right now, and I'm not crazy about them...
Can anyone help me?

Hi Kelli and welcome to DF
The stock 5 star rims came off of 97-00 Avengers, not all had them though. The 97-98 (I belive) ES only trims had them and the 99-00 (I believe), non-base model, has them stock.
Hope that helps you.

I have a 96 ES 5-speed and I bent a rim a while back. I had to just basically call around to local rim and tire shops and asked if they sold factory rims. The dealer was last resort because they wanted $200 for them plus shipping/handling cause our cars are no longer made. But I ended up finding 1 of $100 plus tax and piad the tech $5 to put it on. Last time I remeber they still had 4 more back there. What state are you in the store I bought it from might be out there sumwhere.
Heya Kelli and welcome to DF!!!
For starters, silvercoupe97 has the right of it. Those wheels only came in a 17" option and the OEM wheels are never cheap..... your best bet is to find something at a junkyard and offer to swap them your rims in exchange for a cheaper price perhaps.

That's a complete list of the OEM wheel options for the 97 Avenger. Hope that helps....
On a side note, I dont know your monetary situation or what exactly your looking for......but for around $700-800 you could easily get 4 new rims AND tires.....
