Default auto door window to be or not to be

I took my driver side door trim off and was putting new speakers in well i hit my window down button and my window went dow by it self?? do our cars have auto window on driver??? it wont work when i put the door back together though but when i take it apart it works???? i check for loose wires and nothing was bad. and another thing i have a green wire on my passenger door when i take off my trim i see a green wire just sitting there can some one tell me what it is or for its not hook up into anything at all and it dont really reach any where.. is it a ground should i hook it up to the door some where????

The driver's window switch does have an auto down mode. You just press the button all the way down and the window will finish on it's own. I don't know the wiring though.

its weird any clue on why it would do it? it will do it with the door apart but not when u get it together

Could you not be getting the button all the way down with the trim installed?
