I don't work there bro. I live in Hawaii now, lol.
There really wouldn't be a problem to doing that swap, but there's "more" aftermarket parts for your 420a than the 6g72/6g73's parts and peices swap.
A turbo kit would quickly put you past the swap's HP.

the cost of a motor swap [parts and labor] will probably be about the same as it would cost you [maybe a little less] to rebuild your 420a and turbo it - the 6g72/3 swap is probably not worth it. a turbo for a 4g63 is roughly about 3 grand...and at most you'll probably only get 10psi with that kit. doesn't have an IC and is missing some stuff that the 4grand kit has.

i say you keep with your 420a, rebuild it [i.e. new gaskets/lower comp pistons] and turbo it.

You can't worry about how much boost a turbo can run just yet. You will need to rebuild your motor with forged internals to run that much boost and you will need a stiffer clutch or higher stall torque converter (depending on whether you have a manual or auto tranny). A good stock running motor can't do anymore than 10psi for the most part as Airman stated.

*wow, was this really two months ago?*
