Had the same problem with a different car a few years back. Didn't do anything to it becauseI thought it would just go away, and it did for quite a while, but one day, my tranny just went out, and that was it. If I were you I would have that checked out stat chief, before any other problems arise.

Do you know what kind of tranny fluid is in it? Check the relays on the firewall, do they have any kind of gunk on them? Oh yeah, remove them from their sockets and check them out. It may be time to get some new ones from radio shack.

Also have all the wiring from the relays checked out. I just had mine fixed a week ago. Find out it had to deal with the wiring running from the relays to the tranny computer. It could also be the computer itself. Doesn't hurt to have it looked at. Just make sure you get someone that knows what they're doin, otherwise it could be quite expensive. That kind of thing is hard to detect on some computers and may come up as something else.

Good Luck
