Well I found out earlier today that my Avenger was broken into by some theifs. They took my new Sony headunit and borke my dash trying to get it out. The car alarm didnt stop them because as soon as they got in they popped the hood and disconected the battery. Is there anyway I can put a hidden backup battery in my car so the alarm will stay on? I fear this might happen again since im at school and I have to park in the same lot which is really far from my dorm. I guess the only good thing is that they didnt actually steal my car. Also a couple other people parked around me got broken into and they had broken windows so I guess im kinda lucky Avengers are easier to break into and they didnt have to bust my windows to get in. They just popped the lock from outside. Well if anyone has any suggestions about the alarm it would be well appreciated. Thanks.

 

Just found out my insurance will not pay for anything stolen from my car.

 

Wow man, that sucks!
I like DEI alarms myself, like the Viper alarms, they also state that if you get your stuff stolen (within the year it was installed, I believe) they will pay up to X amount (I forgot that too, lol). Just your basic Viper alarm will do.
Just keep in mind that alarms don't STOP thieves, they only DETER.
