The horn doesn't sound off when you lock or unlock the doors. At least, not that I'm aware of. I bought mine new and it's never made a sound, other than the locks moving.

BTW, I think you meant "chirp". You said "chip" twice.

When I bought my 96 used it can with it and it chirped when locked and made sum weird Star Trek gun noise when unlocking. I can't tell u if it was the aftermarket alarm or stock because I had my aftermarket removed and my moms unlocked the passeneger side one day and told my the alarm went off. (thats like telling me that the light came on after I removed the lightbulb)

It sounds like someone had installed an aftermarket alarm in your car. Most stock alarms/keyless entries that make any audible sounds use the stock horn and it's a pretty standardized series of honking or honks. You know, 1 or 2 honks. Anything other than that makes me think aftermarket or European car.

Yeah u rigth cuz I talked to the previous owner he said either the same day or day afterhis brother bought the car from the dealer heput the alarm on the car. Also the toggle switch is part of the aftermarket alarm system. Also the reson y the alarm was trippin the the first place wuz because the battery was the original so it wuz dead. So when I replaced it I didn't tighted the battey cable all the way so it was bouncing on the terminal causing the alarm to activate while driving draining everything.
