Thought I'd share.

Replaced spark plug wires.....all better now.
'97, they probably had never been replaced.

Well, you can plug the intake and get a handheld vacuum or pressurize the intake like you would with a boosted car. There's only a few places for vacuum leaks though. You could just replace the old lines with new ones. They are probably cracked and hard as rocks by now, lol.

You can also backtrack to what you did to the motor last.

how do u plug a vacume and a house vacume also how many lines are there and where are they located because it seems like that would be the best thing to do. its been idleing like that for a while after the intake manifold was replace it was fine but then after a while it started to act funny again if i replace the vacumm lines and it still does that what could be the reason?

Lol, sorry, I meant a handheld vacuum test, like this one.

Which manifold? There's two, the upper (the one the normally referred to as the intake) and then the lower (sight unseen). Both have gaskets that can be seated improperly. Who did the work? A shop or you? If you did it, did you clean the area where the gasket sits? The throttle body has a shaft and seals that can go bad too (the seals), not to mention the BISS (4g63) or Base Idle Set Screw o-ring (if you have one).
You have to backtrack and think of the gaskets that may have been removed.
