Also I guess since you did the research.

Do you know what years the unit with the button are?
And the newer years that don't have the button is the only way to reset it is by the scanner?

Go ahead and add those answers to the write up if you didn't already.

I have unlocked mine a couple times with a hanger by grabbing the door handle not the lock pin. It will force the door to unlock.

After the second time though (and I never lock my truck and seldom take the keys out either which is why it happens on the rare occasion that I do lock it) I removed the latch on the sliding back glass so should it happen again.... I just go through the sliding glass.... Not for everyone, but I have no need to lock my truck. just never leave anything in it worth stealing.

heh i thought i was the only one who removed the latch on the sliding glass window because i mean its easier than getting someone to come out with a spare key and safer than zip tieing a key to the bottom of the truck

I dont have a rear sliding window on my truck. But I did get my lock opened with a door "jimmy". Now I have 2 spare keys...
