Angry Renters just moved out WHAT A MESS!!

I have to vent!! We just had the renters in our 4plex leave with 2 days notice. Well I just went into the upstairs area above our place.

There is electrical issues. Carpet used as a ashtray. Bugs, garbage in bags and floor. Smells like a barn. Cats pissed everywhere, they had 5 friggen cats!!! Holes cut in walls and punched. (was not a grow op as we did a inspection not to long ago) Im suprised they didnt burn the place down. Cob webs everywhere, broken and possibly boxes that held stolen tools. Walls so yellow from smoke.

Place almost made me puke!

Only good thing is we are management not owners. My god, how can people friggin live like that!!!

Damn! That sucks.

We should of done that to my wifes old apartment before she moved in with me. We cleaned mopped up and steam cleaned the carpets so we could get our security deposit back. Then the owners said we couldn't get it back due to the owners had changed ect. We fought them but we said forget it we just wanted to get out that place, so much wrong with everything in there.

That's the EXACT reason we no longer have rental property. At one time we owned 5 mobile homes that we rented for $125/week. After about 3 years of putting up with that crap we sold all 5 of them and said the h**l with it.

I guess all in all it wasn't such a bad investment. Those 5 mobile homes paid for my '01 RT and the wife's '02 Jeep GC and we sold all of them for more than we gave. Turned out to be a good deal in the end but just wasn't worth the hassle.

I could see people living like that, though the owner should probably take legal action towards them to get the money to fix it, You cant just trash the place and think, oh whatever who gives a **** and not expect to pay for something especially if it was a decent place beforehand with no holes in the walls and bullcrap like that

I've tried that before also. All you'll get from the courts is a judgement against them and that's not worth the paper it's written on. People that live like that could care less about their credit rating.

Court! My sound off button!!! It is a total waste of time to go to court! Used to believe in it but after several experiences including business and privy to friends outcomes what a joke! Thought it was a local situation and corruption until a friend got screwed in Pa. court. Know of a vehicle situation where Judge had a grudge against womans husband, husband figured no problem jury trial. After Jury came back, corrupt Judge disallowed verdict, said he could not believe stories case dismissed. Verdict was documented but disallowed because Judge has final say. Woman had brain damage, totaled car loss of income. Oh Verdict was $ award to the victum. No appeal loss of income, and assets had drained couple, no money for appeal!!

The renters were barely getting buy. Probably the same now. No money to there name is it would be almost impossible to sue them for anything. Also if found at fault by the RTO, the tenants can refuse to pay and nothing really happens. The court on the other hand may be able to garnish there welfare pay.

I also believe that the owner should have done walk through inspections more often. Problem was, he did a walk through not to long ago but the lights were down low, furniture covered up a lot of the mess, and posters over the holes in the walls and doors.

I understand what you're saying but just because they were 'barely getting by' is absolutely no excuse for destroying the man's property and living like a bunch of animals! Sorry but I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for people like that!

Here is some eye candy for you about potential renter's. A little history: No water for a year after water heater sprang a leak. Tenant would not allow a walkthrough due to living condition to repair issues.

I have more, but I think you get the idea.

That is actually a little big more worse but not by much... the window sills had mold and dirt on them.

I agree there is no excuse for destroying the man's property and living like a bunch of animals like you said. He had a temper and put holes in the doors and walls! Just pathetic.
