Default bye bye

Well I was planning on driving my dakota into the ground... instead I drove it into a semi.

Brakes have been going for a while, a lot of air, and at a red light my foot slowly would sink to the ground. They gave up on me first stop sign I had.
As beat up as it was, that truck never once didnt start right away, even after it sat for months more than once. Best $300 I ever spent

You were driving it around knowing the brakes could fail at anytime?
Man what if that had happened when someone was crossing the road...

So you knew you had bad brakes and you still drove it? That simi could have KILLED you. I'm glad it didn't.

Now did you learn your lesson?

yes, my drive was less than 2 miles a day before the sun comes up.. I am very thankful It was a semi I hit and not another vehicle, or person. I am also thankful I did not even get a bruise out of it. I sure as hell will take brake issues more seriously from now on!!

Yikes! Only 2 miles drive. I'd have walked rather than risk my life and my truck. That's scary..

My breaks failed on me similar to this guy. I was up on the mountain visiting my brother and I left to head home. Came all the way to the bottom of the mountain (thankfully I do not ride my breaks like some people, but I use a combination of breaks and transmission to slow me down) and as soon as I hit the level bottom and came into a curve I always slow down for as I go into, no breaks, pedal went straight to the floor. Luckily no one was in the on coming traffic lane. I pulled right over and checked my fluid, res was almost dry. I did have to drive it to a gas station about 1 mile or so away but I crawled that mile or so. Ended up replacing the res, power breaking system and master.

I was driving a built chevelle when the brakes went out. I swerved into a cornfield to avoid a pedestrian and completely destroyed the car. Limped over to the farmers house, explain the situation and offered to fix his field. When we got back to the car we found the prop valve exploded...
