How does the frame look? Mine was completely rotted forme the cab back. Only thing holding the frame together was the rivets on the leaf spring hanger and the bed itself. Hope yours isn't the same.....

Everything seems sound, just surface rust all over. I want to dismantle the entire truck and media blast then powder coat. Im looking for the cheapest in town. Ill be his gopher and be able to make sure hes not destroying anything. Reading dos and donts of media blasting opinions all over the net.

its one of 4 things...

1. speed sensor .. which would be located on driver's side of tranny close to transfere case

2. output speed sensor.. located on a linkage further up closer to mid area of tranny on opposite side of tranfere case(front of truck side) again on drivers side of tranny..

3. or its the over drive lock up plug.. ...

4. O2 Sensor ...

Possibly get better pic? or trace back to were it might go? apparently i never knew this but without the speed sensor(not speedo one) it runs like crap or might not run atall aswell..

a few pics...

http://www.justanswer.com/dodge/6br9...overdrive.html .. this one scroll down a bit

honestly tho to me it looks like speedo sensor which has the cable in the center to go in tranny... and being its location looks exactly were vehicle speed sensor would be as in first picture link ( top side u see vehicle speed sensor 4 wheel drive)
