Default Should I keep it or sell it?

I will be going to Arkansas for 2 years this July and need some advice on whether or not to keep my truck or to sell it. It's a 1993 Dodge Dakota LE - V6 - 5 speed - 4x4. I really enjoy driving it! The four wheel drive works great and is a great vehicle for the snow. It has 150,000 miles and gets about 19 MPG on average.

My option is to store it in my Grandma's garage for free with an indoor cover on it up on jack stands. I would take all the steps to get it prepared to be stored for that long. Or of course I could just sell it. What do you think? Will it be worth it? Will it ever be worth anything? Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. I really love the truck and would hate to see it go, but I need your opinion. Thanks!

Some of the extras that I've added in the 3 years I've owned it:
Spray in bed liner
Brand new transfer case
New tires
Tonneau cover (matching)
Tow package and wiring
Rear view mirror with map lights
New radio w/ Bluetooth
Bug deflector
Mud flaps
Installed power locks
New headliner
Ahooga horn! (haha!)
and other things I can't think of now.

My opinion is to hang onto a truck that clean especially if you have free storage. But your decision is based on your best interests.

Yeah, not gonna be easy or cheap to find another one that clean. Why not just drive it down there with you and then you can enjoy it while you're away!

I really appreciate the input. I wish I could take it with me, but I cant, unfortunately. It is a really clean truck and people ask me all the time if it is for sale, and or course I always say no. So I wouldn't have a hard time selling it. And I really don't want to. I guess I still have until July to decide...

Remember, everything is gold until you try to sell it!

Keep it. It won't be worth anymore in two years, but probably won't be worth any less. I'd run it as low on gas as you can & put some Stabil (the stuff for ethanol) in it, change the oil, make sure the antifreeze is good and strong, put a coat of wax on it, and maybe invest in a car cover. Some RV style tire covers may help keep the nice tires from drying out.

When you get back, put about 10 gallons of gas in to dilute the old gas, and it should be good to go.

Good luck in Arkansas, culture shock is a bitch.

By the look of that truck I would definitely say it is a KEEPER! If after 2 years you decide to sell, you will probably get the same money. Good Luck in Arkansas.
