95 dodge 360la +diesel nv4500 swap how to wire reverse lights

Default 95 dodge 360la +diesel nv4500 swap how to wire reverse lights

I got a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 360la carb swap + Diesel/v10 nv4500 trans and im trying to figure out how to wire my reverse lights to work when its in reverse. All factory harness are still there except i dont have a trans or motor harness.

Will that trans even bolt to the 360? Thought the bellhousing patterns were different? Or did you get a V-8 bellhousing??

There should be a provision for a backup light switch on the trans somewhere.....

Yes its a v8 bellhousing. If you remember my old threads with my build i ended up blowing the motor cause oil pump locked itself up after only a month. So doing some much needed upgrades will be going again in a week or two. Anyways, there is 1 plug on the front top driver side 2 pin i believe just trying to figure out where to run a wire to and from

That should be the switch. Feed it switched power, (hot in run only) and tie into the harness going back to the reverse lights. Should work fine.

1 pin being key on power then pin 2 goes to reverse tail light wiring?

Yup. It's just a switch that gets closed when you put the trans in reverse.
