my 2.5 liter temp gauge wasn't working and i didn't notice until i got clear into town so without it was running cool. the fans didn't kick in or nothing. so stopped to get gas and noticed the temp gauge was unplugged. when i plugged it in the needle pegged out. it didn't feel hot so i drove it to the parts store a few blocks away, parked it in the shade by a faucet, and let it cool off. when it had cooled it let out a big bunch of white smoke that cleared eventually.it runs kind of rough now and tends to overheat. i am thinking a cracked or warped head. there is no water in the oil yet but the truck is home and parked.. where is the thermoswitch for the electric fan? and on the way home i hit a Deere but all it took out was the passenger side signal light. when it rain it craps all over you.
