I have an '89 2.5l that has been parked (garaged) for over 10 years. 283k miles. A major concern is the Holley 46435 1bbl tbi - can it be rebuilt or replaced by a carb? It looks like most parts are still available. If I decide not to try to get roadworthy I would like to sell (no dents, patina only minimal rust - none visible.

 

If you just wanna sell it, get it running/driving decent, and place an ad.

 

What I'm really asking is - does anyone have experience or advice with this particular engine? Has anyone replaced the TBI with a carb? If so, how to work around ECM issues relative to timing, etc.
