Default Rear brakes lock up

I have a braking problem with my 1990 Dakota 4cyl; the rear brakeskeep locking up under normal stopping conditions. It seems to scare a lot of folks when I come skidding up to a red light. There are no anti-skid warnings and the engine/system diagnostic lights extinquish as they should after start up. I did recently change rear brake shoes and also had to replace the rear steel brakelines from the splitter to the left and right wheels. The truck wasnot usedfor aboutabout 6 months while I worked on this problem and other problems so perhaps the down time may have caused issues? The skidding started as soon as got the truck back on the road. Any help would sure be appreciated.

I would adjust your drum brakes. they sound like there too tight. just back off the adjuster acouple turns and that should fix it.

Adjusted drum brakes to be less tight. Problem gone, thanks.
