about a website with detailed instructions on how to tune up a 3.9 V6 for more power and fuel economy? if not, a few tips for starters would be nice. Thanks in advance.

 

Outside exhaust and intake there really isn't a big aftermarket for the 3.9L. You could take off the cat and get a bigger throttle body, lots of guys use the TB's from 5.2's and 5.9's or they go w/ fastman. Also run a muffler with low restriction to open it up a little.

 

Thanks, but I just found out that my 3.9 is badly ailing and will either be rebuilt or (most likely) replaced with a 5.2.In case others are interested please continue the topic. Thanks.

 

you will LOVE the 5.2, sorry to hear about the 3.9, they are usually pretty tough.

 

My dad informed me that it would cost too much to repair so he took it back and gave me his '98 Chevy K-1500. Hopefully one day I will once again own a Mopar.
