hmm, got 2 problems,

one: getting spark at coil but not plugs

two: power going to coil is not getting to 12 volts while cranking so not getting full power spark, gets to about 7-8 volts and spark is not bright blue, i get 12 volts from the positive side if i ground it 2 the engine block, but the ground coming from the pcm is not a strong enough ground, any ideas as to where i am getting the bad ground from?

1) So you get a spark at the end of the wire running from the coil to the distributor I take it. Take the distributor cap off and look inside. Make sure the metal is clean, not cracked or anything, and that it looks like it would be making good contact. How old are the the spark plug wires? What do the plugs look like?
2) As far as direct areas, no. Follow the wiring diagram. Test for resistance between the source of the ground (which ever pin it is on the PCM) and the ground side of the connector at the coil. Move closer to the PCM side of the circuit, until you find the location of the problem. Of course, low resistance is what you want.

plugs and wires and rotor where replaced about a month before the truck went down, distributor cap is brand new just replaced yesterday because the bolt was stripped and i couldn't get the cap snug. but i will check for resistance and follow the grounds.
