Default Anyone pulled a Timing Chain?

I need any advice regarding replacement ofthe timing set on a 3.9L V6

What special tools are required? Are gear pullers required? What parts are typically replaced on an 244,000mi engine when you replace a timing set, (Water pump, gaskets, seals etc.) What would you remove from the engine compartment to make the job smooth? (Radiator etc)

A quick run down on the basic steps would be helpful.

Thank You.

I did pull the radiator on my 94 V6. Its not that bad but you do need some tools. Go to Advance Auto Parts and rent their puller set. It comes with both theharmonice balancer puller and the gear puller. While you are in there pick up a service manual for you truck. An impact wrench is especially helpful and a time saver. Keep upwith location of your bolts and keepeverything clean. When doing the t/c its always a good time to replace the water pump, belt(s) and hosessincethey already have to be removed.
