Smog/air pump
What effect will it have on my truck if I remove the smog/air pump?

you cant pass emissions, it willidle rougher and get lower gas mileage

I bypassed the cat on mine and runs alot better and i picked up some gas milage, i did not even know we had air pumps on these.

Not on the '96's, but they had them in earlier years.

Yea, I'm more than happy not having one... just another thing to go bad and probably needlessly set off CEL's.
