Default Very strange

My truck has started doing a very strange sputtering, and it is only when the tires spin. It will happen in drive or reverse and it is only when you are spinning the tires from a roll, like sliding around turns and stuff, it also happens if you get on washboard dirt roads and the tires break loose. i was thinking at first it was the transmission slipping, but it seems to be pulling time on it because if you stay in it, it will backfire!! So i was thinking that mabey it was the rear ABS sending the wrong signal to the computer, so i unplugged the sensor on top of the chunkand it still does it. Is there any other sensor back there that i missed? The only thing i can think it will be it the computer messsing up, or mabey some sensor in the transmission. If you do not get on it really hard the transmission will skip a little on the first to second shift. If there is anything that any of yall can think of that it might be causing it please shed some light, or any ideas that i can try. I have tried unplugging my chip too and it is not that either. It got 170000 miles on it all of the drivetrain is OEM.
