Ouch !!! Fix-it guys said they would find me a "good" one from the junk yard.

You can try cleaning the plugs and checking the wires going into the pcm, but this usually doesnt work,

As far as the not starting issue, I can't help any more than what has been stated. The dying portion, on the other hand, is a different story. Had the same problem with a '98 Cavalier, tried to die when coming to a stop, etc... Turned out to be a cat problem. Changed that, and the dying went away. Changing, o2 sensors, and throttle/carb cleaner helped for short durations, but not long. Worth a look.

Well, Sunday the 22nd I took the plug-in to the computer off. There was a small amount of corrosion on about 6 different pins. I used a clean (new) paint brush and brushed the heck out of the "male" pins and cleaned the green powder out & off the "female" side with a utility knife. Re-brushed both and put back together. Haven't had a problem YET. I'll consider it fixed after 3 weeks of no problems. That's if I can afford the gas in that big V-8
