Default Little Red Express (Dakota)

Hi. I'm looking for any infromation on these Little red Express Dakotas.
Also would anyone have a line on possibly finding a short box stepside box for a Dakota?

They came with the 318(I think less of these) and the V6. I think they were just in a '90/'91 Model. A thousand or two were made. Some I hear the stacks are functional, others it just has the normal exhaust. Easy to switch. Your best bet would be to keep your eye on E-bay. I know quite a few people have been picking these up lately.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes your info is helpful: I just find it odd that for all the Dodge Dakotafans out there that you are the only one that has any info about the Dakota version of the Little red express. Was it not popular? was it junk? If there were only a limitednumber produced you would think that some proud owner or collector would want to share with the rest of us Dakota fans.

Not too many people know about it.There are other ones that were made in low quanities. I actually thing there MAY be1 or 2 of them turned into the Midnight Express/Warlock..I think only diehard Dakota people will know about it. I don't think they were real popular unless you really loved the Lil' Red Express' in the 70s.

I have noticed lately though, alot of people been picking them up. There were a couple steals on E-bay for 2k, but then some people will try to sell them as high as 20k, which are nice, but I don't think they're worth that much.

Thnaks for the info
I reviewed pics of your Dakota...Nice!
Did you create the emblem om the back?

I've always liked stepsides; that why I want to find a box or complete truck to modify.Don't want to spoil a truck in good shape.....so I want to build my own. also drop a 360 in. It would strickly be for crusin'.Maybe a set of factory rims.....1996 vintage... who knows: don't have the truck yet but one can dream!
Maybe dark blue paint?

Thanks Nice pic
Never know these concepts do become reality
As for the dakota express the box itself was metal and the wheel "tubs" were fiberglass

Thanks. No, the emblem is a knock off from the old Super Bees. I'm actually headed in the direction of turning it into a truck form of a 69 1/2 Super Bee (A12) car.

Only I'll have a small block, not a big block.
