cuts off while driving
Hi every one im new to this forum and to dodges. ive been a ford man all my life but recently i bought mean 89 dodge dakota because my mustang gave up on me and i wanted to get back into the offroading thing. here's the problem.
while driving down the road my truck just cuts off and after waiting about 40 min's i can go back and crank it right up. when it cuts off the motor acts like it want's to crank but it just want fire up. when trying to crank up there is no fuel gettin the theTB. i unhooked it and put it in a bottle and there was no fuel comming out. i knew it had gas because i had just put about 3/4 tank in.but like i said earlier after about 40 min's i can go back and it starts right up. i have no idea what is cuttin the fuel off. any help is greatly thanked

Truck will not start- A common problem in the trucks, primarly ones made between 1993 thru 1995, was failure (corrosion) of the splice that feeds battery power to the automatic shutdown (ASD) and fuel pump relays. If these relays do not get battery power, your truck will not be able to start. The splice is located underneath the Power Distribution Center (PDC), which is the black box located behind the battery. (See pictures below for locations)
