My gears are starting to slip, and I have already put more into it than I paid for it, so in January I will have enough to get a new truck. Mine's not in that great condition, so I was going to give it to my boyfriend and let him fix it up and keep it.

He's going to have to fix the front bumper, headlights, hammer out a couple dents, rebuild the transmission and the engine, and (if he wants) have the inside re-upholstered, but I can do that.

I was just wondering if anyone had any books, or websites they could suggest that could give me info or help me find it. I've got a 1994 Automatic, 4x4 sport, v6. If there's anything else you need to know about it to help me out just ask and I'll find out.

If you can take it out and bring it to a tranny shop they can usually rebuild it for around $800 (at least a good shop near my house can)
