Default Is this the bad splice?

I have a 94 Dakota 318. Just within the last month it started to die at any speed could be 70mph or at a stop sign at idle. Today it died at at stop sign and would not start for about a 1/2 hr. The only error was error code 12. Which makes no sense to me because the battery has not been disconnected for at least 6 months well over 50 starts. Is this a symptom of the bad spice I have read about here? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Is this the bad splice?

sounds like it could be the problem. I would rip the wires apart and re-solder them back together.
