Default Won't Start in Park? :S

I have an '89 Dakota SE 2WD automatic, sometimes when I go to start it won't start unless I put in neutral. In other words when it's in park (like it should be) it won't start and I have to put it in neutral to start it up. What would cause this and how could I fix it? Thanks.

Sounds like the Park/Neutral switch (located on the transmission) is taking a crap, replace it.
I believe its located on the driver side of the transmission.
