Default Broken suspension bolt

Hi I have a '94 318 4x4, and I started to notice a cluncking in the front and found that the bolt holding the suspension to the a-arm had snapped. Time to upgrade. Any one else had this happen before? Or have any ideas for reinforcing it? Also I am looking for a source for mid-grade coil overs for the front and some beefier leaf springs for the rear as I use the truck for work and am always over loading it. Thanks J.

I never heard of a bolt brakingbut i guess anything is possible. Make sure you get a graden 8 bolt to make sure it dont happen again. Try Jcw.com or summitracing.com or jegs.com they have great suspention set ups

Thanks crazy. I do a lot of city driving with heavy loads. Is that grade or garden 8 bolt? I tryed to get the rest of it out and snapped 2 drill bits and a #5 bolt extractor. I think I will need totake the hole thing off and drill it out and retap it

Sorry I was rushing its GRADE 8. The suspention is probably putting pressure on it. take off the ball joint and then you should be able to get the rest of it out easy.
