Default 1987 Dakota Transmision Help

I have a 1987 Dakota and I want to replace my transmision, I was wondering if the 904transmision is the sameon a V8 as it is on a my V6? Let me know.

You can use any 904 \999 off of a small block with the only difference being that yours is probably a lock up converter.You just want to use the converter that comes with the transmission that your installing.Make sure the converter doesnt have any offset weights like a 360 would have(if it does just grind them off)Good luck
