Default vacumn question

i have a 87 dakota with a 3.9l, it has what is called a vacumn distribution block on the firewall, i am trying to find out if that should have the same vacumn all the way across or any vacumn all the way across?

I dont know exactly what it does but it sounds like some emission control device. Take a pic. and post it. Also check to see where the hoses come from and go to. and post that too.

sorry it took so long, i finally got some pictures of the vacumn distribution block. i took an air hose and blew though it, i got 20 inches of vacumn into it and only 5 to 6 at each nipple. is this what i should be getting?

I am dont know for sure but I would say. The large round thing at the left looks like a brake boster check valve or a filter. The othe hoses may be for the ac and heater cotrols inside the cab and the other may posibly be for cruze control or may be the hose that supplies vacuum from the intake manifold. When you got those readings was it from when you put air to it or did you messure with the engine running at idle. By the way is your ac heater controls like for the vents switching okay or your brakes working good. I would say that it should be the same vacuum all the way across.

It's just a vaccum manifold . It's the same all across.
