Default Tranny mount question

This is the mount from my 95 4x4 manual transmission:

The dealer says that this is a mount for an automatic transmission; the manual transmission should have a bar supported with 4 round rubber bushings.

Could anyone elaborate on this? Did a previous owner do something crazy? Is the dealer documentation wrong? Anyone want to peek under their truck and describe what they have?

FYI: the holes are where the screws go in and attach to the tranny, the studs stick out the bottom into the frame support beam.

Default RE: Tranny mount question

It may be possible that the previous owner chaged it for who knows why. I know for when I got my 4x4 the crossmember for thetranny mount was seriouly damaged. So I looked all over the junkyards here, But all I could find is a maunal crossmember. So I had to adapt my tranny mount to work on that one. So maybe it was something like this. So here are the pics of a auto 4x4 and maunal 4x4 and even 2wd setups so you can see exactly what you got.

Default RE: Tranny mount question

Thanks for the reply; that matches what the dealer was showing me. It appears that I have the auto mount but am missing the upper and lower brackets. My only guess is that the transmission was replaced and the parts were lost?

I bought a replacement off ebay because it was the only one I could find that was listed as a replacement for my truck and looked like the one that was already there. When I went to put it on I found that the new one was a 1/2" shorter than the old one which was sitting too low to begin with. I'm just trying to make sense of the situation.
