If it is 2wd which Im guessing because of your sig.the pan will not, it will have to replaced, with a 4wd. I belive the 4wd oil panshave a dimpleon it to clear theaxle. The ecu will have to be the 5.2 as well as the wiring harness. But you dont have cut just disconnect it from the fire wall and everything will just plug in the same. As long as the 5.2 has ac and if ur does, if one doest then you will have to cut it in to add it in. Same with 4wheel abs if you have it dont mess with those wires.
niether has the abs i dont think the 5.2 has ac but im just gonna d/c the ac i dont need it nor do i care for it .. now the oil pan has to come from a 4x4 5.2 ? or can i put the one from my 3.9l ?
Thanks
Thanks
Well I just checked autozone.com and the 2wd and 4wd had the same part number for the oilpan. So I guess it dont matter. And the v6 oil pan would be too short for v8. Good luck with it.
ok so back to the wire harness ... the truck im putting the 318 into has no ac .. but the wire hardness from the 2wd had ac does it matter if i dont cut nothing ... just wont have an ac to hook up is all ?
lemme kmow please ?`

Hey Ruggels. I have a question for you regarding your 92 2WD. What do you plan on doing with the truck after the swap? Are you putting the 3.9l engine in it and still selling it? or will this become an empty parts truck? The reason I am asking is because down here in Louisiana where I live, I've been having trouble finding parts for my 92 3.9. I found one truck in Mississippi, but most ofthe parts i need are already taken. It's mostly cosmetical parts and interior cosmetical parts, but there's a long list, lol. I'm looking for a mostly intact 92 that has or had a 3.9 in it because engine parts are needed too, but not so much i can't still currently drive my truck. This truck is our only vehicle and this is why i need to find a parts truck for it. If you DO plan on selling it for parts, hit me up with a price and a general area where i would be getting it from, because I would need to assess my finances to see if I could handle the price + cost of pickup. Thanks in advance, and good luck with your swap, I've been thinking of dropping a 5.2 into my 2WD myself and I know this has got to be a big job (considering I have NO major equipment but a jack, haha).
