Default 92 Dakota Wipers not working

Driver side wiper stopped working so I took of the wiper arm to find that the teeth on the wiper pivot had been stripped. Anyone know where I can get a new one? I tried superglue and Jb quick weld and it worked for a little while but then failed. Jb weld won't hold it together any more. My inspection is up to and i can't go get her inspected with out this wipers working.

Wrecking yard.

Suggestion: Get the WHOLE transmission, and replace all the bushings while you're swapping out, also be sure to use some lithium grease in the bushings when you put it back together.

You are probably best looking at a junkyard. I imagine you could weld the shaft to the wiper arm as a last resort. Could also potentially drill a hole through and use a roll pin... But I bet that shaft is very very hard... Metal. Ha.

From the boneyard? Probably not.

And they're called 'bushings'.

I have the part numbers here somewhere for the Dorman parts; it's been reported that the Mopar parts from the dealership last longer (I can't say, my Dormans are about 5 years old now ... )

I've attached a pic that's been resized showing the part numbers. The orange Dorman box is a 10 count; the hangers are ones you'd find at the HELP! counter.

(That arm below is one of the transmission arms; you can see the date and time I took it; and yah, I'm still rocking that set.)

its not the bushings. its the wiper pivot that connect the wiper arm to the transmission.

Yes, I got that.

You have to get it from the boneyard ANYWAY.

While you're there, I'd get the ENTIRE transmission, and rebuild it.

That's what I said.

****, I just remembered I have a whole parts truck sitting in my yard. Kyle if you can't find or don't have a junkyard near you let me know, I can send you the whole assembly for $2 (just to pay for gas to go to UPS) + shipping. So I'd guestimate somewhere around $15-$20 total. lemme know. I'd throw in the wipe arms if yours are damaged too. You'd still want to replace the bushings of course.

If Kyle doesn't want the wiper arms, I'll take them; I want a spare set of good ones to paint flat black and swap onto the truck, instead of the rust red ones I have now.
