Default I think I have a "Rare" Dakota

We have had a 1990 Dodge Dakota for quite a few years now. Its been sitting for a while and we decided to possibly sell it.
Its a 1990 Dakota Lil Red Dakota Express.
3.9 V6, Auto, 4X4
It has a Fiberglass step side box and the "Lil Red Express" Striping
It had exhaust stacks behind the cab until we removed them.
From what Ive found out is it was a conversion done by L.E.R. Industries in Michigan as a dealer option.
Has anyone else seen or heard any info on this truck?
It needs work but if its worth something maybe Ill fix it and keep it.

Under 1500 were made, more V8s than V6s. Cool little trucks, but really nothing special(money wise).

The driverside cracked right where it came thru the step so we took both off.

some of them were functional stacks. but since you removed yours im guessing they werent functional. however, you should keep the truck since it's so rare.

the only l'il red express trucks were 318 dodge 150's. if you have a dak l'il red express i'ts very rare. the pipes were just for looks. my guess is somebody tried to get the l'il express look from there truck.

From what Ive read the original conversion they didnt hook up the stacks. My stacks were functional when we bought it. The stacks were pointed out and pointed right in you face if you left it running which sucked but it looked sweet on cool mornings swirling out the back.

Here is the one that was on Ebay

there is one i see most mornings thru the summer on the way to work, iv got the dakota sport convertible which seems to sell on ebay for about4500 to 7500 on ave with a high of 15000 on an auction that happened last year, the express should sell a little higher. dont go looking at blue book values on dakotas like the convertible, the shelby, the express, they dont represent what they sell for. if i remember right from looking at a new one back in 1990, the stepside is fiberglass, so there might not be many origional bodies left for those and somebody WANTS it, stacks and all
