Default Replaced Water pump on 94 Dakota

Hello all, we replaced the water pump on my 94 Dakota 3.9 but while I was filling the radiator I heard a sound like water leaking, found it was coming from a hole just below the return hose to the radiator. Any ideas would be great, could it be the seal is not in place inside the water pump? Once again thanks for the help.

the little round "weep hole" is supposed to be blocked off by the seal. i've really never understood its purpose. if coolant is actually coming out that hole, and not around the gasket or hose, it sounds like you got a bad wp.[:@]
