Default 50a blower fuse popping..FIXED

okay. so it starts withthe ebrake light coming on.

go inside come out a few hours later.

ebrake light still on
blower motor not working(just replaced the resisitor for a seperate issue)
windows dont work
static when attempting to use windows through speekers.

on a sperate issue,i had to tighten the passenger headlight ground, and replace the resistor block. all this seems to be going at the same time.

now. i replaced the 40 that was in there with the appropriate 50amp. popped it

ive done a quick once over with out totally ripping the truck apart to see whats up

SO can anyone shead some light on this for me?

Thanks
Chad

EDIT- oh yeah. i can assume its a ground, somewhere. for something...

sounds like a bunch of separate issues, the ebrake light could simply be that the ebrake is stuck partially engaged, the heater motor not working probably a bad motor itself, the windows and the static could be crossed wire in the wire looming

its not.. i forgot to mention it only does it when the truck is running/ motor running)
its all one issue. cause i put the fuse in( a new one) and all is good until i start the truck and hit the window..

Looking at the schematic, it appears the fuses for the power windows (30 amp, slot #3), blower (30 amp, slot#4), back-up lights (10A, slot #2) and dash warning light (5A, slot #13) are all fed by the ignition switch. Could be a bad ignition switch.

THATS ALL FINE AND DANDY BUT GUMMER SAID

"and all is good until i start the truck and hit the window.."

SO IF IT WAS THE IGNITION SWITCH THEN IT WOULD MESS UP BEFORE HE HITS THE WINDOW SWITCH. I THINK HE'S GOT A WINDOW REGULATOR THAT HAS PINCHED A WIRE DURING IT'S DOWNWARD TRAVEL!

if it's a window regulator harness shorting, wouldn't the fuse for the windows blow instead? How is the fuse for the heater blowing when he hits the window switch? I wouldn't think the power feed for the blower doesn't goes thru a door jam or into the door.

un-loomed all the wires going to the bulk head. found one that was rotted. fixed that bitch.
went inside under the dash. theres one that i need to pull out of a harness, not sure what its for buts its garbage.

noticed there was a fuse coming from the coloum. it has 2 bigger( not sure what gauge) wires coming from the coloum to this fuse. i doubt its stock. but it was all melted to **** so i fixed it up and shes golden again!

i love molested wiring[&:]

anyways. thanks for the help guys. now to put it all back together,...
