I painted my coil black.and the wires came gray. That works for me. I hate the bright colors. but others like them.

 

i agree, i will do the same thing, but i kinda like the red plug wires, it goes good with the color of the truck.

 

I would go with red too, I don't have them on my dakota but I have them on my other ride with the MSD box, MSD ignition and the plug wires and all I noticed was that it started up quicker even with cold starts and also that the higher RPMs pulled more. So it should help a little bit though I think that my 3.9 has really good higher-end pull then a lot of V-6's, I dont really feal any low end but that can be because of gearing.
