Default Dakota cuts out going uphill

I got a problem with my 94 Dakota and I am worried it might be the fuel pump. When I start going up hill it cuts out, just like it is running out of gas. This has happened to me a few times now. At first I thought that it might be caused by the amount of fuel I had in the tank. The way I was thinking was when the fuel level got down to a 1/4 or less and I started going uphill the fuel would all go to one end of the tank and the pump just could not pump the fuel. But tonight I was coming up a Mtn rd and the fuel gage said I had 1/2 a tank, it started to cut out on me just like I was running out of fuel. So in an act of desperation I quickly backed into and up someone's drive way and the motor started to run much better, I reved it up a few times and took off. Lucky for me I made it home. I just can't figure it out. Kinda scary cause I have to drive 50 miles to a training class in the morning.

P.S. I have actually changed the fuel pump out back in 2000

Its a technical service bullitin. When there is an issue or defect that needs repaired there will be a tsb the dealership refers to for the solution to the problems. Also vehicle recalls will be listed in the tsb's as well.
use this site to get the tsb # then call your dealership for more info
http://www.alldata.com/vehicle_owner/index.jspenter your truck info then Go! Go! Go!
Hope this helps.

tsb stands for Technical Service Bulletin. car manufacturers put them out to dealerships and garages and what not when there is a known problem with a vehicle. It basically gives you a good idea of where to start looking when you have a problem.
