hey everyone i'm having a problem here i broke the extension housing on my 93 4x4 5 speed manual dakota and i called the local dodge dealership and they told me it was $802 i'm pretty sure that's a mistake because i bought the same part for my mom's jeep for $40 does anyone know of a place i can get one

Extension housing?

 

You can try Junk yards. I distroyed mine when I busted my driveshaft. I had to get one off a jeep.

 

I am wondering too myself what an extension housing is

 

The extention housing is the tail end of a tranny or transfercase. It is the part that covers the output shaft right before the slip yoke. or any yoke And seals it.

 

Can I get a part number for the one from a jeep? or which years will fit? I tried to cross reference and nothing is coming up.

 

Anyone??
