Default 1990 dodge 2wd v6 5speed

I have a 1990 dodge 2wd with 3.9 v6 and the np a535. The trans busted and I'm playing hell trying to find one will a ax15 bolt up if so what modifications are needed

What part of the country are you in?

Also, SWB or LWB on your truck (i.e, 6.5' or 8' bed)?

I ask because we have some 5 speed 3.9 Gen1 Dakotas around here.

If you take the AX15 out of a Gen1 Dakota with the same wheelbase, worst will be you'll have to change the driveshaft (I don't think so, but I really don't know, so ... )

BTW - When looking, look also for a NV2500, which is the name that the same transmission got after New Process became New Venture.

Or, if you look for bran'spankin'new, check into the Tremec transmissions (which may take a custom cross member and drive shaft when you get one with the shifter in the right location), since NP/NV were soaked up by Tremec also.

I'm in South Georgia and the truck is a long wheel base
