First off, every time I go to open my door, I have to pull 5-6 times on the handle to get it to open. I pulled the door panel off, everything seemed to grab ok so I just lubed it up and thought that it would be good. Its not like the handle is broken, I can feel it pull what it is supposed to pull. Something isnt releasing until the 4th or 5th time i try. Anyone ever had this problem and got any ideas?

 

Sounds like the latch is worn. You could try pull the door panel off again and pulling the linkage by hand that connects the handle to the latch....if that fails, you need a new latch.
